That said the T420 would be fine for school and some very light gaming. The biggest advantage to the T440 is going to be NVME M.2 storage which is signifcantly faster than SATA SSDs. Another option you might look at is a W520. Same classic 7 row KB but with a significantly better LCD. and better cooling.
